for the last week I have barely slept
I toss and turn all night, lay in the same position with my eyes shut without falling asleep, and on the rare occasion that I do fall asleep I usually have nightmares or i roll onto my back and have sleep paralysis

It's getting really, really old
I am tired at night and I just want to sleep
But it honestly feels like I can't no matter how hard I try

I take meds for sleep, but they don't help much
I am taking trazodone and melatonin specifically for sleep and neither is helping

I feel stuck
I get tired of staying up all night and I really just want to fall asleep and stay asleep for longer than an hour if that

I don't know what to do
Thanks for this!

Hi Kori....

Ive been there....i honestly believe we our body gets too used to sleep meds....thats why they dont always seem to work after a while....until u get stronger and stronger doses...thats why im scared of them...

I try to wear myself out with various exercise during the day...nothing intense, just mildly keep moving: walking, cleaning, stretching, very little standing, maybe some occasional deep knee bends....

anything that would tire a body out at the end of the day.

helpful would be some sleep promoting foods like milk, cherries, yogurt, lo cal snacks high in potassium and magnesium, maybe some chamomile or peppermint tea....no sugary foods or caffeinated drinks.

u may have what works for u but this is just my two cents to help...

good luck....see u in chat
