Hello everyone.

I just wanted to ask if anyone else here has problems due to sleep because of DID and PTSD?

My DID and PTSD causes me to be very restless during sleep. Problem is not falling a sleep, but being very active during sleep. I might talk hours and hours, and my alters are very active. I have also singed during nights. I might also see traumatic flashbacks and dreams wich is not so nice.

Guy in my neighbour screams at me nearly every night to shut up and I usually wake up to this realizing that I have spoken/screamed during my sleep.

So if any of you know ways to make these nighttime problems easier please share.

I am so very, very sorry that this is happening to you. Since I have no experience in this, I hope others here will be able to share helpful ideas. It is awful that you are having to go through this!

Hey,

Due to Complex-PTSD I too have trouble with nightmares, falling asleep, and staying asleep!

Our subconscious is left to go free whilst we sleep, and so if there are any emotions or troubles from childhood (or whenever) which haven't been processed you will likely keep having these nightmares.

I would suggest seeing a Relational Therapist, they will help you truly uncover your troubles and emotions from the past, and therefore have a healthier life now and onwards (including sleep!)
