i've never smoked a cigarette in my life (to which most adults applaud me for, when they learn about it), yet lately I've been having dreams about smoking. 2 dreams in the past week that i smoked a cigarette. and lately ive been wondering about starting. i know its horrible, and i probably never will. i dont want to really. its just that whenever i see someone smoking on tv, it looks sooo relaxing, and i want that..

It seems like it is relaxing but it is actually stimulant. You have one, then crash, and need another to get that feeling back. Then the chemical receptors in your brain change and begin to need it, you are hooked, then can't stop, and need more, and more. It actually makes you jittery as it stimulates you. The adds want you to believe it is relaxing so you'll try it, then get hooked.
If you haven't tried it and have not started, really, don't. It isn't worth the detriment to your health, your pocketbook, or worth the stimulant feeling. There are other ways to boost endorphins naturally without poisoning your body. As one who started and is having a helluva a time trying to quit; I truly wish I never had in the first place. |

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, Krisakira!!! This is NOT something you really want or need!! Take it from a long time smoker from a family of smokers of whom three people already have been killed by smoking! Don't even THINK about starting smoking. Just as Fresia says, there are many other ways to get your jollies (endorphins)! It's better even to eat too much or eat things that are bad for you! Smoking should be considered on a level with heroin or suicide! Because that's what it is! Wipe this completely out of your mind. Eat macaroni and cheese! Or hot dogs! Or ice cream! Or bacon and eggs! BUT DON'T SMOKE!!!!

i havent tried it. thanks guys i think thats what i needed.. to be reminded that its bad for you and that i shouldnt. alrightie, no smoking for me
