Well, I made it through most of day 4 on Friday. Checked the mail Friday night and got a letter from the IRS saying my refund is going directly to an old school loan, which means the money that was going to give me some piece of mind is gone. BF took me to dinner and I decided to say screw it...he bought me a pack of smokes. I'm still on the same pack. I smoke a half and don't want anymore. I'll try again after this pack, hopefully I'll be able to make it through all this crap being flung at me.

At least I'm sober....thats about the only thing I'm sure of anymore.

Practice makes perfect hon. Many smokers have to try a number of times before they are successful. Don't give up hope...remember, we may backslide, but then come out swingin! You are on the right track hon....I have tons of faith in you!

Ray, been following your quest to stop smoking. One question, when your boy friend went off for that pack of smokes, did you ask God for help?

Come on honey, you know the drill, we ask God for help on things we can’t do for ourselves.

p.s. your story sounds a lot like my first attempt to quit smoking. Dust yourself off and back in the saddle. And this time try it old school.

Ah well....try try again.
