Emwell, I'm sending what you wrote to my sister in hopes it will help her. I really appreciate that I didn't read any guilt of shame in what you wrote. You're doing great!

I'm so happy you liked it. and am thrilled you passed it on. That means so much.

One thing I learned in the App I used (and in mindfulness in general) was accept myself without judgment. or something like that....

I do not know too much about Mindfulness Practice. I just know that what I do makes a difference in me.

I would truly like to smoke today.
Smoking would result in a worse cough, a yucky stink, feelings of guilt and failure, and I would not feel better.
I have dealt with cravings (even wicked bad ones) head on before and won.
I can this time too.

YOU GO...

Fabulous job! I had to go back and read so I knew what you were going through. I quit many moons ago (1991) and I've not looked back. I tried before and this time, by golly, I was determined. It worked.

It's great to read about your success!

Thanks everyone.
I have come a very long way.
I would not be as successful without the support I receive.
It does seem easier, but I must remain vigilant. Even 1 puff is not okay.

This is indeed a good beginning for you. Congratulations!! What's your husband telling you now?

Hubs is quite proud of me. Shoot, everyone seems to be. Myself included.

He is even more supportive and encourages me to stay stopped. I am a little less crazy than when I first stopped. It is time

He is having a hard time staying stopped. But I cannot/will not judge. It cannot help either of us. It is time

I am still not counting, but in 6 days I will be smoke free 7 months.
Husband is smoke free as well.
My dog has never seen me smoke.
My health has not improved like I had hoped, but it would be worse if I smoked.
