I just realized yesterday that you can't have a life or much to celebrate if you don't live life. This week we had flooding here on the East Coast and I looked at it on television and even out the window but didn't go experience it. I took a picture of it from the inside, opened the window and leaned out but I didn't go touch it or smell it or in any way live it. Thinking and reading and hanging around the house with the cats. . . nothing much can happen. It's up to me to live my life, no one can do it for me. I can't get more self esteem if I don't go out and risk doing something.

I have low self-esteem too, and it's hard when pople can't understand why I don't believe them when they see me as being better than I am.
