I believe we can be free through the method of stopping the hate we have for ourselves. Just ask yourself "how long are you going to hate yourself?" Say it just like that, not: "how long am I going to hate myself? It has to be said YOU. Then, do not answer the question. Just listen to the question and allow yourself a new sense of quiet in your mind. Just let the question sink into the silence. Then you will begin to notice the habit in even little things that you do that reflect a not allowing yourself to be happy. When you exhibit the bad behavior (even a bad thought), just ask the question - and don't answer it. Just see that it is true, and it will fall away. You will discover a new source of energy and freedom. You may also discover that self-hate is really what hate is - all hate stems from self hate. Good luck.
Thanks for this!

Thanks for this - I used it a couple of times yesterday and it seemed to quiet my mind. When I put it to myself in the manner you suggested (I think getting quiet and letting the question settle in is important), being negative toward myself seemed so pointless.

Thank you for this.

I seem to only see the negative qualities in myself but hardly ever positive. I am in CBT and trying to figure out myself.. Why do I look at myself so negatively? Why do I dislike myself so much? I am so cautious of everything I do and say so I won't mess up. I don't hate myself nor have I fully learned to love myself either... And that's something that's very, very difficult to admit. Sometimes I just feel like nothing and that's the hardest part.
