I have been writing in the bipolar forum as i thought i might be suffering from that, but my pdoc gave me a book about low selfesteem instead. At first i felt angry and confused but then i read it through and started to see things in a different perspective..

All of a sudden many memories came back to me and i am writing it all down as it comes to me.. I had to look at myself as i would someone else, otherwise i couldnīt see the problems that were just in front of me.

I now realize that there is many reasons why i am now someone who is suffering with VERY low self esteem and self worth and its quite hard to suddenly be able to see this very clearly.. I guess that i can now start working on getting better but it just seems so hard as i have always been like this. That means changing my whole personality.. very strange thought.

Anyway i wanted to say hello to you all and look forward to writing with you

from Lone

Hi Lone! All the work on myself that I did, I don't look at it as I changed my personality. Who I am is still intact. I just changed my my low self worth to healthy self worth, empowered myself, learned healthy personal boundaries and social skills, etc.

I am glad that you are making these discoveries!

You are a great person. You are loved by many people. Dispite what you have been through, you can rise above. And what you have achived makes you a stronger person. When you look in the mirror and smile, the only one that matters, is the one smiling back at you. If you believe that its the true you that is showing then you are on top of anyone. Be glad your you, and dont let anyone bring you down where they can stand on you.

Hi LoneRose. I am new here as well.

You are not alone in your struggles with low self-esteem. It sounds as though you have found some good ways to work through problems. I'll enjoy talking to you.
