I just want to eat and eat. Sometimes I hardly eat. I'm just so guilty for eating too much. I gained 50 pounds in 2 months bc of medicine and I just feel low about my appearance now. What I'd there to do to make myself feel better? I been thinking about tanning, doing my hair, nails....ugh

Anything that you can do to pamper yourself will usually have a good effect on your self esteem. Even something as simple as shaving my face can make me feel a little better. Pamper yourself with a new nail color, dye your hair a cool new color, heck, even a nice warm bath can make you feel better.

I know about 8-9 years back when I was super, super low I got a pedicure. It made me cry at the same time it made me feel good. About 5 years ago I tanned for awhile and that made me feel good too. And as much as I hate paying for a decent haircut, I like doing that too.

I feel your pain girl. I used to eat a lot as a coping skill to deal with issues with my mood to such an extreme that I was overweight as a teen and was depressed about my appearance as a result.

Now I'm underweight from under eating due to my mood. Sometimes bipolar people can be quite interesting with our mood swings and all, yes?

Never be ashamed for who you are or how you look. Never feel guilty for indulging in things that make YOU happy; a degree of selfishness is healthy for a person. Dye your hair, do your nails, get a tan, get some more clothes, or do whatever you have to do to make yourself happy. Besides, guilt has never helped anybody

I'm confident that you are a very beautiful person. NEVER let anybody make you feel otherwise

I agree with what everyone else said. I say treat yourself to some pampering whether it's new clothes, shoes, etc. That makes me feel better sometimes.

And although it took me a little more time to gain the weight I know what you're going through. I eat too. I have gained 5 pounds in the last 3 weeks bringing me to almost 70 pounds total because I can't stop eating. What is worse, now I'm eating more sugary food when I'm sad or bored and so on.

I know I get down especially after an eating session.

If you ever need someone to talk to feel free to message me. (((((hug))))
