I really don't know what to say to this, you've had such positive feedback from women on here - guess they aren't the people on Tinder.

I'm not on the dating scene and have not been for many years. When I was single (& very young) I had all kinds of different unsolicited reactions from guys, positive (told I was beautiful), negative (told I was not attractive), and indifferent (most of the time thankfully).

The conclusion I drew from this is that I would not let anyone else's opinion of me define my self worth. I've slipped up on this resolve a few times in my life but I try to stick to it.

I hope you won't let this experience define your self worth - you are obviously worth much more than that. Tinder women of AZ's loss I say.

I don't have/do any of those things. I make good money, but nowhere near that much. I used to own a Lotus and a Viper (not at the same time) back in the oughts, but any pics of that stuff is old. I drive a sweet (paid off) 2001 Ford Focus these days. My M.O. Is saving money for the future these days.

Self-worth? Kinda, actually. Between that, no interested parties on Ok Cupid, Plenty of Fish, or in the real world, I feel pretty worthless, yeah.

I was kinda joking about the preppy, materialistic photo experiment. Just wondering if all the women are just so shallow. Do you have a certain edgy style in your photo like you did in the one you posted on here? I was thinking maybe you were coming across as too edgy.

I also want to say, that if looking for love has made you so frustrated that you are feeling suicidal, it's time to just step back and care for yourself. You need to love yourself. Maybe focus for a while on other ways you can contribute to the world and in doing that, you may meet the love of your life. You have much to offer.

Burnt out I am so sorry you are having these feelings right now, I can only imagine how awful you must be feeling.

I have had those thoughts myself, some years ago, they did not feel like they would pass at the time but they did. This might not mean much to you right now the way you are feeling but I want you to know that how you are feeling right now can change.

I can only echo Tish's post above, care for yourself above all else, treat yourself with kindness and focus on the many good qualities you have.
