How do you give yourself that radical acceptance? It isn't easy, especially when you are in a situation where you are being abused. I'm glad that you did get out of it.

I'm glad you have the ability for acceptance of yourself after an abusive relationship. That is a real accomplishment!

Congratulations meg, i have an affirmation too. My therapist gave it to me. It's "i'm doing the best I can." I continue to make mistakes in my life despite being free from drugs and alcohol, but that affirmation makes it OK. Still, there is something deep down inside of me that doesn't fell good about myself. I don't know how to change that, but I will have to work on it.
