I guess if I wrote the whole thing it would be too long. I just need to post this somewhere. ....my step-brother in back in town...he looks way too much like my step father who abused me and it is throwing me for a loop. He walks, sits, etc etc like the father...my wife and I are living in my childhood house with my mother so she won't be alone and its helps us out so my wife can go to college full-time (she is in the process of becoming a nurse) anyway I did not even think about seeing him bothering me so much. He is here for two days.....sigh....

I'm so sorry this is such a shocking trigger for you Chalkdust. Often those out of left field ones hit us hardest. You've recognized and connected why this is triggering which is more than many can do when thrown for a loop. Good job on that. Small comfort but we have to see the positives within the scary times to keep getting through.
I am glad that you posted here. Please do anytime you want to or need to.
Wishing you peaceful rest after your step-brother leaves.

Thanks ___zh for your post also. Your right sometimes we just need to do what is best for us at times. Tomorrow he leaves ..well leaves here and it will get better. Luckily I am very busy with work and I get home late, plus now others are here visiting with him......I have been polite but I have reached my limit which was just about when I saw him! Good point about these type of things that come out of no where too.
