It is very common with domestic violence survivors. Is therapy an option so that you can work through all this stuff?

I want therapy but when I talk to family members, friends, or even my parents about it they give negative cognitations for getting therapy like why do I need some to tell me what's wrong and to stay positive... They just don't understand or can even see that I'm in another situation after another because of pretending everything fine

Do you need their approval to go to therapy?

And they obviously aren't experts in therapy either if this is what they think therapy is about ^.

Maybe they don't want therapy...but since you do, then why not do something that you want for a change? Who knows, maybe after they see how you are learning to deal with your brokeness in a positive way and are becoming a healthier person, they may come around

You have a choice. You can either chose to live with things the way they are or you can go to therapy. Many people go to therapy without being supported. Going to therapy is a very healthy thing to do and it can improve your life immensely.
