I spent all day today making my home feel safe again, I lied in bed all morning til noon telling myself to open my eyes, saying OUTLOUD to look around there is NO ONE here but me, that i am totally safe and okay,I listened to upbeat music that i love, music has always saved me in one way or another, and I danced and sang around my beautiful home all day, I have made it POLICY to watch one or two funny shows and or movies a day and I am now able to lie down on my couch and not have any body memories or flashb acks or I do have them but they do not really bother me, I found myself saying ok this flashback is happening lets not give it any power keep watching your funny movie and it will go awy and IT DID yeahhhhh TY to everyone here for all your support, I can see the light now.

Hi - it is so great to hear that things are a little better for you today - thanks for sharing the things that you find helpful, yes music is something that helps me too and I think if you can dance and sing to it, it is even more helpful as it is using other parts of the brain.

Don't lose sight of that light however small it may get at times, it will always shine more brightly again.

I am glad you took the time to make yourself feel safe today. I like your idea of funny movies/shows.
