God I had in my mind what I wanted to say but it has gone blank now

(((kittyclaws)))),

Ok, maybe it will come back to you that is alright, you can come back and post some more if you remember.

Kitty, are you seeing a therapist right now? I see on your about me page that you have PTSD, this is a common complaint of those who are struggling with PTSD, especially with any history of abuse. You CAN work through this and a lot of this is about struggling with trust, that is really normal with a history of any childhood abuse. You have to be patient and take time to sort through your past and understand what about your experiences has lead to this trouble with trusting others so that you struggle with relationships. You can figure this out in time, be patient.
