For not continuing with my counseling. For being so often upset about my husband's behavior. For not being stronger and more resilient . For poor eating and thinking choices. For not being able to be close to my children and grandchildren . For struggling with my health. For hurting mysef inwardly by feeding these negative thoughts and setting false limitations. The pain is high!

Please don't continue to punish yourself for all those things. You should get back into counseling instead and work on making yourself feel better. When you feel better inside then you will be better able to fix the other problems that are on the outside.

You have tried to do the right things and to cope with what is before you. That is all anyone, including yourself, should expect. When we get things wrong, it just means we have another try. It's ok to make mistakes or not succeed at something, honest. This is something I struggle with too, so what I have just written is what I tell myself rather a lot - but taking the pressure off, or trying to, actually seems to make it easier to carry on. You probably know all this in your head, it's just convincing yourself deep down that is so hard. You have worth just by being, by existing, so don't write yourself off. ![]() Bluegrey |
