Hi everyone! Like I said, I just joined a group therapy for men abuse survivor today and it felt so great! Despite today's standard that men have to be tough, find solutions alone and never show weaknesses, I told that pdoc about my childhood abuse, be it sexual or physical, I can tell you it feels amazing to do the opposite and it lifted a weight off my shoulder.

I'll be attending a 10 meetings men abuse survivors group in september but until then, I will meet a pdoc 10 times alone during the course of the next 3 months and the outcomes of all these actions look very promising!

The organisation helped over 5000 men overcome what I lived, during the last 8 years so I really have the feeling, I can make a ton of progress in the next 6 months.

I'll update this thread after I've started my meetings. To any abuse survivor, there is help available and I encourage all abuse survivor to seek help asap! I'm 26 but the people I met where I went, told me most people wait until they're 45-50 years old before getting some help. Please don't wait so long, do like me and seek help now!

Take care and best of success in our theparies!

You "are" being tough and finding solutions on your own though (( Lazarus )). The "strength" is not in hiding and burying your challenges, instead it is being brave and finding your way to make a plan for "resolve". That is why you are feeling a sense of "relief", that is letting you know you are doing the right thing and it's beginning to empower you. You are doing something, you are taking action to improve yourself and "that" is where the true bravery comes into play, and finally tackling the tiger and in so doing "growing".

Thanks Tiger, wait, did I just? LOL Because you wrote ''tiger'', I was about to call you ''Tiger Woods''. It happens to me sometimes. Thanks Open Eyes!

Are you real angry? A push over, soft spoken? I bet you struggle with substances big time. Law problems? I been in several groups where a few men spoke it was exactly that. Men on men, or women on women? How do you identify? Glad you got a all men group and there is realness and not some funny sex that was enjoyable, right?. Hopefully the focus is more on how it manifested throughout your life.
Thanks for this!

I don't get angry very often, I rather rationalize and make people look like fools for attacking me, when it happens, which is, not very often either. Not really, I defend myself and I don't talk for nothing. Haha, I did do drugs, about 8 times when I was 20 (6 years ago) but didn't see the purpose to keep doing drugs and no, I don't smoke or drink. I have a very strict diet, don't eat much fast food, do lots of sports, power-lifting, I have a very disciplined approach to life. Okay, it happens. I'm a man and it's for men only, there are no women. A human being? loll Yes, I'm not really interested in sex with other men. I hope it will!
