I'm not sure if my father used to deliberately perv on me or not. A few years ago i was hell bent on writing a memoir of sorts. I remember going swimming with my father who wasn't together with my mum and he always used to insist on using the double changing room, and i was getting too old to be doing so and i think he might have been doing some perverted voyeurism. He had never had a steady partner since my mum, or re married or anything. I just had to type my thoughts out , and hopefully I'm not opening another can of worms......

Hello VanGore: I've often read that memories are not all that reliable. I'm gettin' on in years now. My parents are both gone, as is all of the rest of the extended family I grew up with. Plus I was an only child.

At this point in my life, I don't have a lot of memories left of my life as a young person. I do have a few. Some of them are troublesome. But there's no one left to talk with about any of them. I sometimes wonder if some of them actually even happened... or if they happened the way I remember them now. The fact is I'll never know.

I think you're correct. Disturbing memories can be a can or worms. I guess only you know if this is one you want to open. On the other hand, keeping something like this bottled up probably isn't helpful either. Anyway, however you choose to proceed, if you do at all, I wish you well...
