I've just started EMDR for the second time. Each time I see a phychologist for an assessment I assume & really believe that they will not believe my past abuse. My intellectual mind says that's ridiculous, but I have such anxiety each time. Is anyone else like this?

Old issue, but I wanted to give you at least some answer.

I thought that my pdoc would find me and what traumatized me ridiculous. I thought that I was being ridiculous.
But she does such a great job in validating me, so I was able to find the more complex underlying issues and traumas

In all my years in therapy I only once had a pdoc who would question me and so this was quite a short meeting. Trust is a very essential part of therapy, and if your doc doesn't trust you when you try to open up, than you should run. They are not the police.
Their job is to listen, believe and help YOU.
Thanks for this!
