am very fragile... right now... not sure why... most likely because of alters...gentle alters in control.....

when.. "mere" words... make physical bruises... is how I feel...

a "word here"... a "word there"... and... the effect is so powerful... that it causes physical bruises...

the bruises are there.... no one but me can see them....

they are purple... and blue... and hurt..

and.. I am tired.... knowing.. the very details... vividly.. in one's mind... makes for such unbearable pain...

I am scared to sleep again... my mind open... and... the nightmares... cannot stop the nightmares...

no place safe to sleep... no closet... no corner... no stairwell... no where... they will find me... and... I will feel the pain.... and it... is just unbearable.....

the nightmares chase.. me... there.. is no place to hide.....

I like the title, it's so evocative. I know those kind of bruises.

Dirty, old, black-hearted thing.

Children are no damn good.

I'll hit you so hard it will make your head spin.

I use to have trouble with one memory, I was literally cornered and alone and my mother was beating me about the head and shoulders. If your mother doesn't love you, who does?

I don't know how that managed to heal, how I got a larger view of myself and my stepmother. Bruises can heal. I hope some of yours do quickly freewill and the sleep doesn't torture with nightmares.

To me, words don't bruise, the cut, they stab, they tear, but don't bruise. Maybe it's just a different way to perceive pain.

I hope that you will feel better soon, all wounds have the capability to heal- when given time </font> word bruises...

Words are powerful. Yours are too. I wish comfort and safety for you.
