a word that triggered

Okay so I am new here. I was not going to post in this area. But here I am and can not believe why. Right now I am so pissed offf. Being new I was poking around and came across some mappthing. Its about where yopu are. So why am I mad and triggered. Umm one of the forms is correctin was beating. Harder is one of the toys we got was a solid plastic paddle with ball attached kinda like the ones from carnivals withthe rubber ball attached. Only it wass attached to the handle. Was called a frapper. the map thing called frappr has totally flipped me out. Its like somnone pushed a button. it has me so mad and never been so triggered by one word before as much as this.

Awww just remember that you are safe, and that you can always reach out.

You should discuss it with the website and with your T. Sometimes writing a really angry letter feels really good. You don't have to send it just get it out.

Often it is the simple act of coming across a word or phrase that can trigger so much. The fact that you came across a little-used word that has such bad memories for you would have been very unexpected and very shocking. But good on you for letting it out here, for putting it into words and for acknowledging it.

I'm sorry you got triggered, it's yuck when that happens but you do learn what your triggers are and how to manage that. I hope you stick with us here at Psych Central.

Thank you....I guess the trigger....was getting so angry at that moment. I was furious when I saw it. I don't think one simple word has ever mad me as mad before.
