So I've been on Yaz since September, had regular cycles since I started. This past month, my birth control didn't come in time (I have to mail order it through my insurance). Luckily, I had an old pack but a different brand. It was from 2008 and I had it left over from when my OBGYN switched me. I thought it would be better to take that then go off completely then back on 28 days later so I took that pack instead.
The estrogen level is higher than Yaz and it threw me off a little bit. I had my 'normal' period (I guess) about a week or so before I usually do. I suspected it was breakthrough bleeding but then I never started my period when I expected to. (if that makes sense). So, I'm just wondering what this could mean? I didn't miss a pill and I'm pretty sure it was my normal period, but just early because of the higher dosage. Now I'm having a really thick, mucousy discharge that is kind of a pale yellow. I think this means I'm ovulating right now which would mean I'm not pregnant right? I haven't taken a test yet but I was pretty sure that kind of discharge meant ovulation. Does what I described sound like I could be pregnant even though I never missed a pill? I don't know how switching BC for a month can effect the odds. |

If I were having yellow discharge I would go to the doctor to get checked out for an infection.

It's not yellow per say.... just kinda offwhite-ish. And there is no odor or anything else associated with it. It's actually gone already. Only lasted like a day. I just didn't know if any of it could be caused from switching brands of BC for a month. I'm not having any other symptoms of anything else.
