I hope this is where this goes...

Okay....so I was forced into having oral sex with a guy last week, so needless to say, this is extremely hard for me.

My concern right now is the possibility of getting an STD from this. I know it's not very likely for me to get something from him going down on me, but I know that it is possible, so my question is, what STDs or anything could I possibly get from that? I don't know if he had any fever blisters or anything in his mouth, so that's a concern for me. Also, this may sound a bit TMI, but I had some little cuts down there from him being so rough, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Maybe I'm just paranoid about what happened, but I really, really want to know what kind of risk I'm at.

first of all, if you were forced into it then it's rape and you should report it.

second, anything you can get on your genitals, you can get on your mouth/in your throat. it does make it easier to transmit when you have an open wound because the viruses can get into your blood stream easier but it's still pretty difficult to transmit stuff that way. i have had cold sores since I was 12 and have gotten oral sex from guys who had cold sores and none of them (and me neither) have ever gotten genital herpes from it. there is something about the 2 strains (oral and genital) that make them prefer those places that genital is less like to occur on your mouth and vise versa.

if youre really concerned you should see a doctor and get tested. a lot of places do anonymous testing for stds also if youre worried about being embarrassed or anything.
Thanks for this!

I have heard of gonorhea (or however its spelled) and clamydia of the throat but I believe thats contracted from giving a man oral sex. It never hurts to get tested though. There are tons of clinics that will do most testing free and anonymously (in my experience HIV tests cost a little bit but are still anonymous). I'm sorry to hear about your experience and I hope you feel better.

Thank you all. *hugs* I have told my T about it, and we're currently working through everything, so that helps. I will check in to if there are any clinics around me, because if there are, I don't know about them. Maybe that's something T can help me with. Thank you again for all of your replies.
