So I'm in a relationship and I love my boyfriend very much but is it bad if I briefly fantasize about this new cute guy at work?

I don't think it's bad. It's part of the human condition - looking at others, even if you're already in a relationship. In my opinion -- It's only bad if you've got a monogamous relationship, where you decide to cheat on your SO with this cute guy from work, or your boyfriend gets super jealous of your attentions towards this other guy, and you don't talk it out.

But if it's harmless fantasies, I don't see it being an issue. But that's me.

It's normal! It's only bad if you act on the fantasy...

The more you think it is bad, the more you will fantasize - give yourself permission to fantasize to your heart's content and you probably would get bored soon.
Thanks for this!

Thank you, it's so nice to hear my behaviors and thoughts are "normal" for once.

Bad is such a subjective word. Fantasies, are normal. Glad you are feeling better about it, already.
