I thought the title would attract more views. But it could be true.

I have all the symptoms of low estrogen levels. I have an appointment on Thursday and want my OBGYN to test my hormone levels. I have so many symptoms of menopause it is ridiculous. From weight gain, to breast pain, vaginal dryness and itchiness, vaginal pain, low libido, joint pain, night sweats, mood swings, depression, itchy dry skin, dry eyes, etc etc.

I have PCOS, which is a condition that messes with your hormones anyway. I have an IUD (The Mirena) because I was having a long heavy period that would not go away for MONTHS. I had to start taking iron pills. Anyway 2 years later and I am doing well with having NO bleeding whatsoever. But now I have all those symptoms I listed above. I don't know what treatment would be like, but I am assuming there is something out there that will make me better.

Anyway, I will update again once I see my OBGYN on thursday.

I hope I can keep the Mirena in because it is the only thing that has stopped me from having a life long period. Anyone with similar experiences or any advice who could reply to me would be appreciated.

I have PCOS also….had it in my 20's long before I became diabetic. Have you been tested for diabetes or insulin resistance? Once my blood sugars become normal, so did my cycle.

Or, it could be medications you are taking. I doubt it is truly menopause--PCOS can F you up just fine on its own.

Hope the drs get you set up with what you need!!

Hopefully your doc will do a full chemistry lab work-up; there are other things that can cause this as well not just the hormones that cause menopause, especially other hormones that should be ruled out, such as thyroid (T3, T4, TSH) and other things as well.

I hope you find some answers soon and some help with this. I know it is not easy and nowhere near comfortable to deal with. HAng in there.

Hey. Yeah I have been tested for diabetes many times and have never had blood sugar problems. My fasting blood sugar is 70. Yeah I know PCOS can really mess with you!! I'm not taking any medication that could cause this other than the low dose of progesterone that comes from my Mirena. This kind of came on very suddenly within the past month. Either way whatever it is, it's totally not fun.
