I shedded my winter fur coat, and now I feel like a woman again! I don't enjoy shaving, and do so only about once or twice a year, so I consider shaving to be a kind of pampering for me. Shaving makes me want to pamper myself further, so I'm going to paint my nails and put on a face mask, and then work on my short story.

When was the last time you pampered yourself? If it's been a while, I encourage you to pamper yourself! It feels great, doesn't it?
Thanks for this!

You go girl! My husband was away for the a couple of days this week so I took the time and ... did exactly what I wanted to do. I worked on some needlework, read a book, called some friends I hadn't talked to for a while. It wasn't a paint-your-nails kind of day but I still felt pampered.
Thanks for this!

Good for you. I know that it is important to pamper yourself, but I usually don't. I can't even remember the last time I pampered myself, so I know it's been too long. I think it's been like two years.

I've been terrible. I shaved my legs yesterday and it gave me occasion to notice the state of my toenails: they are now more akin to animal claws and are about 1/3 purple on the ends (that's the remains of their last coat of nail polish from before Thanksgiving).

Yikes!

I'm definitely going to do some plucking, waxing, and polishing today.

I may be a bit of a hedonist, but I try to do something that brings me comfort and joy daily. The last thing I spoiled myself with was a bottle of very good Belgian ale. That was yesterday. Today, I am going to enjoy a long walk alone in the mountain with my favorite music just before sunset.

The word pamper tends to make me cringe. I go to a pamper group most fridays which includes, hairstyle, nail polish (Hands and Toes) Make-up, massage and foot spa. All I can seem to manage is the foot spa.

I'm with you on the shaving. I don't like doing it, but hubby and I are going out tomorrow and I think I'm going to shave first. Thanks for the inspiration!

I go every 5 weeks to get my hair cut and colored, and she does a scalp, face, neck massage while I am there that is heavenly. I did treat myself to a body shop body butter that get once in awhile that makes me feel divine when I use it, massage in a jar and skin so soft. Otherwise, that is really about it. I do keep up with shaving because of my grandmother's old saying: if you are in an accident and have to go the hospital, do you want them seeing you like that honey? I guess that is about it for the pampering, more based on paranoia.
