generally speaking, when a guy wears any item of clothing asociated with females, he's a cross-desser. but how come when girls wear guys stuff, people call 'em tomboys etc.
i dont get it.

Hmm - good question.....
but I think generally when we (females) wear guys clothing it is on the out side and when guys tend to wear female clothing it is done under their clothing, as to hide the fact. |

P.S.
One of the males in my house hold said this...... Guys clothing are usually uni-sex items (shirts, shorts, pants) were as female clothing are made for fairer sex - lacy, intimate and personal - not meant to be worn by men. |

good answer, Rhap......plus there is a behavioral thing going on there with men that "generally" isn't going on with women. men who cross dress do do it secretly......there are gay women who dress unisex and are very open about it.
i dress very unisex. teeshirts and jeans and sneakers and i love men's old Hawaiian (sp) shirts....love old rayon dress shirts. i'm straight......last time i checked. ![]() hope we've helped you.....xoxoxo pat |

I have heard women who refer to themselves as cross-dressers, but they're usually adult women.

i wear guys clothes.. i skateboard and snowboard so i typically wear the baggy jeans... most often i get labelled a lesbian... ppl have small lil minds and cant just accept ppl for who they are what they do and i dont know why its such a problem in the first place... the whole of society wears clothes and if we all went naked then ppl wood judge us on our physical state... ppl should just learn to accept everyone.. this world sucks

I've seen a lot of those makeover shows on talk shows, and they always tick me off. I understand a mother wanting to see her daughter in a dress, but if your daughter doesn't like to wear dresses, so what? I mean, yes, if she wears baggy clothes because she's uncomfortable with her body, that should be addressed. But if she just likes them better, so what?
Those shows also include people who look out of the norm, like Goths, those who like to wear unusual makeup and colors, and others, and people always want to change them. Plus, many people (adults included) think that if you don't want to look "normal," then there's nothing wrong with making fun of you, and it's your fault that they do.

I always wore guy jeans until I found the low rise jeans at Old Navy. Guy's clothes are just more comfortable! Sure I like to dress up sometimes, but for the most part I'm a jeans and tank top kinda girl.
I'm reading this book and this guy is meeting this woman for a date and it said she was wearing flats because she hated uncomfortable shoes. I just love that. I live in Crocs and sneakers. I wear what I wear because I'm comfortable. Sure I'll see girls lookin great but man they look so uncomfortable! I'd rather be comfortable. Can you tell I like comfortable? Tee hee!

i have a question. is it true that guys trousers/jeans etc are made in such a way that you cant wear them if you re female with curves? stupid question i know but im curious!

they are cut different. if you are curvy (have hips) then you probably will want your jeans to be cut so that they sit on your hips.
t-shirts can be a bit variable, too. i find that if i get guys cut t-shirts they are okay across my chest but fairly tight across the hips. i used to wear unisex clothes before hitting puberty. then once the curves emerged i changed to buying female versions of unisex clothes. the one thing that i LOVE that is more of a guys thing (though doesn't have to be, i guess) is guys shoes. skate shoes and doc martins in particular. i have wide feet and guys shoes (because they are wider) make my feet look all cute and small whereas if i wear female shoes that are narrower they appear longer. lol. |

I'm very curvy and I love guy jeans because they fit right on my hip bones. A lot of girl jeans are cut funny so they don't stay tight where they're supposed to be tight. But since they've started coming out with low rise jeans, I can wear those because they're cut more like guy jeans.

I have big hips too so the waist never fits right. Thats why I like guy jeans or low rise, because the waist band sits right in the middle of my hips and doesn't go all the way up to the waist.

Do you have Old Navy anywhere near you? I swear by their jeans.....they always fit me just right and nothing ends up being too baggy. And they're fairly affordable, more so then other brand name places anyway.

Oh wow....I HAVE to try jeans on. Even certain cuts will fit differently in different sizes at the same store. I've never tried to get them online, but for me, finding jeans that fit right is so hard I don't think I'd have any luck.
There's gotta be some place locally that sells low rise jeans?
