I am often averse to sitting in one place for too long. everyday, i constantly encounter moments where i want to get up and go somewhere else, or where I am overcome with a desire to do anything other than what i suppose to do. is this weird or normal?

As far as I know this is not a womens only issue. your profiles says you have ADHD this is something that does happen with that mental disorder. my suggestion is contact your treatment providers they will be able to help you with medication options that can solve this problem for you. there is also an ADHD forum here on psych central. you can find it here...
