Ohhh Honey.. I sooo understand that feeling!! Ihad that all the time before I had my hysterectomy. For years I would bleed like 20 days out of the month. And the nausea and cramping was just horrible. I have no idea what causes this. I wish I could help you out there. But your not alone. I can tell you that. I feel badly for you too. The only thing that even touched some of the cramping was Ibuprofen or Motrin. But I also found that it can prolong some of the bleeding from letting it cramp out what needs to come out. So I basically only took this at bedtime so I could sleep better. Sure do hope this helps . If it gets too bad you may need to go to the doctor . Hang in there sweetie.

Changing of the Hormones.......
or as my doctor use to say: "The Wonderful World of Being a Women" - yeah right - NOT! I would suggest some Advil and a piece of Peppermint candy - its a natural remedy for upset stomach. |

My doc once told me switching between ibuprofen and acetaminophen (one does ibuprofen the next acetaminophen, etc) helps with the pain relief. And it did.
And our family's tried an true relief for nausea is warm 7-up (ginger ale) and saltine crackers.

I'm a true believer in switching from Tylenol to Advil and back again. Or sometimes Advil will work and then quit working, and I switch to Tylenol, and vice versa. Pain often causes me nausea, so I find once I rid the pain, the nausea fades.

hmm. You ladies say Advil? I don`t remember it ever helped me. Adex did.
Perna, does a Peppermint candy have the same affect like the elmon? i sucked a lemon but it happened anyway. I wonder, maybe i have to put up with it...to get away with it...to stay in bed and do nothing when i haev a period. When i ralax it helps, but sometime sit doesn`t What makes it worse thought is ANY KIND of physical strain. even walking..or sitting. |

(((((lady))))) I'm sorry you have to deal with this. I know how it feels as I have been there many times. I don't get this symptom everytime however. But when it hits, it is debilitating. Some people also told me that this symptom can happen during perimenopause. Well, I hope you can find relief. I used peppermint tea and it relieved it for short periods of time...but any amount of time is a blessing for me. Take care!

That can be part of a migraine that can come with periods. Do you have migraine symptoms also?

I had to leave work today for the same thing (I was out of pain meds I usually keep in my office)... feeling your pain!
Your cramps are no doubt gone for the time being, but for next month... It helps me to take a regular dose of tylenol & a regular dose of ibuprofen at the same time, with caffeine. This was reccomended to me by my mom, a nurse. The caffeine is supposed to help increase the effects of the meds. I also find it helpful to soak in the tub, or put a hotpad on my lower abs. I get nauseated as well, I guess from the pain. But I've never had a migraine that I know of (and from what I'm told, I would know if I did!)
