Wife #5

I was just reading to my husband, that a famous guy he had known died last August (aged 80) and reading the info he had had six wives. How do you have six wives? What do wives 4-6 have going through their heads when they decide to marry the guy? I can see wife 1 and 2, maybe even 3 (and my oldest brother and his wife are each other's 4th spouses) but how do you figure this is going to be a good bet, being wife 5 or 6? Wife 6 is his widow and my husband knew her (her predecessor was flown, one-way, to Las Vegas (to be divorced) this was not a "nice" man) and there is lots of money but I can't see marrying someone, hoping for their money.

Oh for a second I thought you meant he was a polygamist lol. So he didn't have them all at the same time.....got it haha.

I dunno, maybe one relationship was just practice for the next one. And who's to say he's the reason all the previous marriages failed. I've had many relationships, and the only difference is that I wasn't married to all of them.....I've been married once and hope to be married again. If it doesn't work out, I think I'd probably keep looking

if you really love someone it really doesn't matter how many were there before you. my hubby and I are both on our 4th and it is really a good relationship. I have kissed alot of toads to find my prince.

But the 5th? This guy was a rich sleazeball. He took wife #5 on a one-way trip to Las Vegas, without telling her, to divorce her since it is/was as easy to get divorced in Las Vegas as it is to get married. Just left her there and flew back so he could marry #6!

I agree taking his wife on a one way trip like that was really bad.

I don't know, someone that's married that many times wow. My best friend married a man and was his wife #4 and #5. He was a great deal older than she, and she was unaware of his other wives. He told her he'd been married and divorced once. She did not find out about all of the others until after she divorced him.

Come to think of it, she's wife #5ish for her second husband. He married two other women and divorced them twice, so wife #1 and #2 are the same person and #3 and #4 are another person. Then again, her taste in men sucks.

Thinking more, I have a cousin (female) that has been married 7 times, once for only a weekend. She's been with guy #7 for about 15 years now. They lived together for about 8 years, then they had to get married in order for him to be promoted.
