Forgive the rant...

But you would think, after being prone to UTIs for my ENTIRE life and having quite a few of them - that I'd have noticed the symptoms, gotten on drugs early and therefore avoided feeling like absolute crap.

Nope, that would make too much sense...

I'm bloated, tired, shaky, sweaty, my stomach hurts, I hurt, I feel sick and like I want to puke, nausea, and the room is spinning.

Doctors diagnosis after tests? Untreated UTI. Again.

BLAH. I only let it get bad like this once in recent memory. And got kidney stones. Thankfully not this time. But seriously, I feel dumb.

And sick. And tired, and stressed.

Being a student makes me sick, literally. Christina feels dumb. (Possibly TMI)

Oh, and does anyone here have *stress-induced* IBS? I think I've got an undiagnosed case of that right now too.

Oh, and forgot to take my ADs for three days. Just restarted again today.

I feel like a walking talking disaster waiting to happen. Christina feels dumb. (Possibly TMI)

Edit: Going to move this to Women's Support because of the TMI stuff. Christina feels dumb. (Possibly TMI)

Edit #2: I seriously would prefer my "monthly friend" to this. Honestly, that's how sick I feel. Sigh. Because I *look* normal on the outside (albeit pale), nobody thinks I'm sick. Sigh. At least I'm not irritable like that time of the month. Christina feels dumb. (Possibly TMI)

Christina...I have regular bouts with Irritable Bowel Syndrome...if that is what you are referring to as IBS. It started in my 20's and I'm age 57 now. I still have it recurring. At one time, my doctor gave me prescription for this, which helped somewhat. It is Dicyclomine, and though I still have some of this med, I rarely take it.
I do think this is stress induced, and I can have an attack at any time. These bouts used to leave me feeling like I was going to faint, turning white and sweating profusely, vomiting and having painful bout on the commode, and still do occasionally. Mostly now, though, it is something I just weather thru. The prescription med does help, if you really need it!

The IBS sucks, I know that nightmare! There is a drug available now called NuLev (name brand works, generic doesn't for me) that makes the IBS bearable.

As for the UTI's I'm sure you know it, but you can't mess around with them, your kidney's are such fragile organs! You have to be more careful as you get older too! I have to go in immediately now. I used to have two or three days to get in to the doctor from the first symptoms, the last TWO times, symptoms start on Friday and I'm not willing to go to the ER, but by Monday the infection has already spread to my kidneys. Next time it's to the ER, can't keep damaging my kidneys in that way.

Thanks everyone.

I told my mother today... she seemed... actually concerned. Which is weird, since she rarely seems to care about anything regarding me at all - unless its to lecture me. Which I thankfully avoided. Christina feels dumb. (Possibly TMI)

Taking my meds like a good girl... and I can actually function and don't feel deathly ill anymore, YAY! Christina feels dumb. (Possibly TMI)
