what does this mean?

OK so I know this is really stupid of me.. i'm sooo irresponible for this, I know. So my husband and I have had unprotected sex like ever since we started.. only using the stupid pull out method. I know it doesn't work,... whatever. I'm dumb.. let me correct that--WE ARE DUMB.
Anways, so I have taken the "morning after" pill a few times before and it always screws up my cycle and I'm late like 2 weeks usually.
But my question is.. is there a possibility that I can't get pregnant?
I'm not asking this in order to not use birth control anymore.. (I'm on the pill now and we're using condoms).
But my mom was unable to have children til she had hormone therapy or something like that.. im not sure what it's called, but it gave her breast cancer TWICE. So I am not doing that if I'm unable to get pregnant.
I am just wondering if it hereditary and if maybe I can't. I mean, we've been irresponsible about sex more than a few times and plenty of scares and pregnancy tests.. and I've never gotten pregnant.
Its' just a little weird to me..
oh and another thing.. i know a girl from school and we used to be best friends.. she was sexually active since about 15yrs old til now (shes 22) and she is even dumber about it then Ive been. Shes had multiple partners and even got into the porn industry and she never has gotten pregnant. Why is this? Could she be infertile? She's never been on birth control and rarely uses condoms.. i know, stupid.

So is this all just luck or should I (or we) get this checked out??

It's something to think about when you decide you want to have children. Or if you're having female problems. I don't know if it's the same condition, but my cousin was having difficulty getting pregnant and got checked out. Turns out she doesn't ovulate and had to go on medication to ovulate. There can be other female issues associated with it, when she mentioned these to her older sister, the older one got checked and she does not ovulate either.

The screwed up cycle is probably due to the hormones in the morning after pill. I would certainly let your doctor know about your family history and concerns.

Many people can have sex just once and get pregnant while other people can have sex for years before they are with child.... but it doesn't necessarily mean they have fertility problems.
I had three kids before my best friend (same age) had her first child even though she had been trying for seven years.

Please careful with the morning after pill as the post research is not out there, therefore, in my opinion the drug manufactures do not really know what side effect these pill may have on a woman and her body in the long run.

Yes, you're right.. I dont need to be taking the morning after pill.. I was irresponsible and I am most definitely NOT ready for a baby.

i am a little worried about it because I think I might want children some day (far away lol),, and my mom needed help but got cancer from the hormones and I don't want that to happen to me.

The "Pull Out" method was the method I was using during my first and only pregnancy. I was young, naive, stupid and unmarried when my boyfriend and I used that method. At least you are married.

Prettyjolie, here's some Food for Thought: Even the smallest drop of seminal fluid can cause pregnancy. It's not worth the risk when there are so many methods of birth control available. I'm happy you and your husband have started using protection because that's the best and safest method for birth control.

ok.. well tishie, thats a little scary.. lol not that you have a beautiful daughter with a really pretty name lol but well.. that could happen to me.. i'm not yet 20 years old, and though I'm married, I'm am most definitely not ready for a child, and won't be for another 10 years! haha/
Just to make it clear, I am on the pill now.. and we're still using condoms. =D

Keep the double practice up and you and your husband should be able to better plan the arrival of your first born to a time where both are ready for him or her.

I thought maybe I wasnt able to have children, I used unprotected sex for 3 years (and im still in my 20's), 1 year completely off the pill/shot whatever with no protection, no pulling out nothing and I finally got preggo. Honestly, I thought that at first but proved myself wrong. As many times that we did it without any means of protection, you would have thought I would have gotten preggo right away.
