I was just curious to see if there are other's like me. I am a business professional that has been unemployed the last year and a half. I have a bachelors degree in business but have been unable to get a job. I feel my credit score has a little bit to do with this. Does anyone else feel their credit score is keeping them from getting a job? If so, what will help?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

I would get a couple of part-time jobs if I could and work on getting my credit better looking. Credit scores cannot be accessed by employers but "public" things can (if your house is bought/sold, foreclosed on, etc. for example)

To me, it makes no sense to check credit scores for a job applicant. This creates a catch-22 situation; a bad credit score keeps you from getting a good job, without which you can't improve your credit score.

Is being "overqualified" still a hindrance nowadays? If not, then perhaps seeking a lower-level job might eliminate the credit score difficulty. That is, instead of going after one that requires a BS, go for one that only requires a high school diploma.
