Up until now I have had TONS of jobs. TONS. I could never hold them. I would get depressed and feel stressed and trapped. Like the night before work I would lay awake and think about having to go and just get soooo nervous/anxious about all the bad things that might happen and having to be away from my hubby and my house...etc. This would cause my pulse to SKYROCKET at work and I would end up getting sick. Last job I had I ended up getting an emergency referral to a cardio at 23 years old. (this was the second time, first was when I was 16...) After a physical stress test, EKG, 24 hour halter monitor, and an ultrasound of the heart- we found out my heart is actually very healthy.
BUT anyways- the pdoc finally has my condition treated successfully. I feel worlds better. ![]() ![]()

Are you just jumping into full time work or going to ease into it, starting on a part time basis?

I'm glad your heart is healthy. It sounds like you are making good progress, so I encourage you to think positively about continued good progress in school and on the job. It's okay to be nervous at first on a new job, and it's okay to tell people you are. Many people are helpful to new comers and when they find out you want reassurance are happy to offer it. I wish you continued good health and a great work and school experience. It's hard but so worth it!

So glad to hear that your heart is now healthy! I agree with IceCreamKid - it's ok to be nervous, and try to think positively. Congratulations!

I find that keeping busy inhibits you from spiraling negative thoughts - look at your future aspirations instead of thinking about the day before. Yes admit that there will be a few bumps on the road, but take it day by day, keep a planner, organize your week, accomplishment some minor goals, eventually you'll get there.
