As if my emotional state wasn't a mess with the loss of my mom, I was terminated from the job I loved after 6.5 years. The doctors I supported loved my work and the support I provided their patients via telephone (they never saw me) ... Unfortu tell administration and supervisor did t appreciate what I did. The doctors kept telling me to do whati was doing, I was fine ... administrator and supervisor told me not do do what I was doing. Of course, they never told enforced with the doctors to back off and the more I did the deeper in trouble I got. I also worked with back stabbing women in an environment that was already hostile when I arrived. I believe my troubles lay with one person who is still there. I am working on having a consultation with an attorney for what went down.
Losing my job and benefits destroyed me. To make matters worse, my applications are being rejected ... One without one hour of viewing. Department of labor saw my résumé, said it was good. So why am I being rejected? Nice weight to add to my already depressed state. I've always had my own income to rely on ... I don't like not having an income or benefits at my age. |

I feel for you! I have experienced the same kind of situation as you. The first thing I will share with you is "Breathe" Yes. Now let it out. Again, "Breathe"; let it out. One more time, "Breathe", let it out. Do this every time you think about your situation and get anxious. It got me through mine, I hope it will help you.
Secondly, you will get another job! Just take it one day at a time. You will persevere, you will survive. I am here to tell you this because I felt just like you, and I had a kid to feed too. Remember all the great things you did in the last job. Hold onto those thoughts and don't ever let go. Take that with you every time you go out, every time you look for work remember, every time you go to an interview be ready to share those great things you did. Be sure to grieve the loss too. Take time out for a few moments and cry or what ever you prefer to do when you grieve. You have more than one thing to grieve, so be sure to give each their respectful time for grieving. Then wash your face, brush your teeth and comb your hair. You are done for the moment. Never. Never bottle it up. Release it. I have to go now, I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts. (((HUGS))) (big hugs too!)

I'm so glad you're consulting an attorney! I too was "forced" out of a job, after having "glowing" reports in my personnel file. Two women were instrumental in forcing me out, and my boss believed them. None of what the women said was true -- and unbeknownst to any of them I had copied my personnel file, and consulted an attorney.
I did sue my employer and WON. When you're forced out of employment for NO GOOD REASON, you CAN win!!! And when my bosses didn't pay when the judge TOLD them to pay, I told my attorney to get them on contempt of court, and he DID. They didn't like that very well. ![]() So you can win. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Keep us posted, ok? God bless and please take care. Hugs, Lee

Sorry for your loss of your mother. I lost mine too this year. A hole in the heart for sure. I like Leeds comments. They are right on. Hang in there. I've been there too & it's tough, but you will prevail...
