One can do just about anything from home but the trick is to know what you can/want to do rather than the other way around. I once knew a group of seasoned adults (middle age) who had formed to invent something, and just wanted someone to tell them what to invent, LOL. Cart before the horse.

i found this site for explaining the most common 'Work at Home' employers, their pay rates (generally $9/hr), and usual equipment and skills sets. if you are new to the process, this will give you an idea of what to expect:
