This is more of a complaint to try to let off some steam.

I absolutely hate this city. I've tried and tried to get a job, but they won't hire anyone here who is inexperienced and doesn't know any usable Spanish, even though speaking Spanish isn't supposed to be a requirement. It's one of those unspoken requirements. If you don't know Spanish here, you won't get a job, they will give the job to someone less capable because they know Spanish. I wish I didn't live on a border city, but I can't get out. I can't get a job here, so I can't get the money to leave, which means I have to stay, but I can't get a job here.

My family that doesn't even live here, even my own mom, says "oh you're not even trying, there are plenty of jobs, go get one." THEY'RE WRONG. I've applied at many places and haven't gotten anything. Some of them don't live here, they don't know how difficult it is to get a job, and my mom, she has a lot of previous experience and was in the military, of course she's more likely to get a job than me. I wish people would understand, but they don't.

I hate this city so much

Sorry to hear it's so tough. Is there any way you could learn a bit of Spanish? You can get free apps and stuff if that helps.

We moved here when I was little, my parents were in the military, and there's a military base here, just never moved away. So for now I'm stuck in a horrible city, imo.

Sounds like where we live. If you don't know enough Spanish, you may as well not bother looking for a job at all.

Could it be possible the jobs you're looking for involve interacting with people, which is why there is a Spanish unspoken requirement? Maybe looking for a job with little to no people interaction can avoid that issue.

There's nothing keeping you in that city now, you could change that part of things. I know that's easier said than done, but it's an option.
