I applied for this job like, 5 months ago, and they finally called me today for an interview.
It's for a Biomedical Technician position at a local dialysis clinic. It's the first job opening I've come across in my field in a very long time, so I am super excited! Wish me luck!  WW

 I had a job interview last week.......in my field and got it. I'm waiting for the background check which is taking a suspiciously long time however. I called her Tuesday and she reassured me it was not back yet, she hadn't forgotten me and would call me as soon as she got it. Next step is my drug screen which will take another 48 hours. Feels like I'm never gonna feel secure in "getting it" until I start which cant be discussed until these things are done. UGGHHHH! I JUST WANNA WORK!!!

Thanks all!
It went REALLY well. They said they had some more people to interview and that they would call next week regardless, but I have a really good feeling about this. What's funny is that in addition to all the usual stuff - background checks, drug tests, etc. - I also have to pass a test for colorblindness. LOL! I'll post again when I have news! Thanks again everyone!
