I'm always making mistakes at work and forget things. I'm really bad for that and normally they're small mistakes like forgetting to have a customer sign something (I'm a cashier at a bookstore). Now my co-workers think I'm dumb and talk to me like I'm a child. I have bad anxiety anyways so now I'm more uptight at work because I feel like I'm being judged.

Get a little notebook that you can use to make notes to remind yourself of things you need to do. Let the others see that you are using it and tell them you want to make sure that you don't forget anything. You might be surprised what happens when they see that you are dealing with your problem.

There is nothing worse than going to work with a co worker who has a beady eye on us.
We are human. We make mistakes. We should be allowed to move on without someone else shoving it in our face. Sincerely, I don't believe the mistakes you've made are that detrimental. But your coworker is causing you distress. I'm wondering where the middle ground is. Where she's not allowed to push you around but you learn to have a voice. A line you can say to her when she passes judgement about your work without being aggressive (you're the least aggressive person I've heard of). But just something to silence her. |

It's ok! Being a cashier is hard, its not easy. I was a cashier and the amount of stress that job puts on someone is crushing especially for someone with anxiety. I never really knew how stressful being a cashier was until I got a job as one. I would also forget certain things like how to scan a check or other things like that. I also can't count money for **** when I'm stressing out.
Ultimately it doesn't matter what they think, just focus on how you feel and work from there.
