Warning: Be very gentle in your responses to me! Having a rough time lately.
Why does the following happen to me?:

My co worker ladies are consistently "overly concerned" with what I am doing. It gets to the point where my morale goes in the toilette...For example: Some will look at their wrist watch when I leave for lunch and "clock" me when I come back. If I have put too many hours in and need to cut time by taking a longer lunch, they will go tell a manager about it without knowing the reasons. Its ridiculous, (its like i could accidentally burp and they would run and tattle).

We are grown women and I can't stop feeling like a moving target for these ladies to get me fired. Why is this happening and how can I get "out" from under the microscope?? Look, I know I have depression and other issues, but I am NOT delusional or paranoid...The craziest part is that I am so busy doing what I do, that I don't have time to observe others while working...I hate this issue in my life and i want to fix this and not feel "under the microscope" all the time. It kills your productivity.

Maybe you could talk to your manager about this?

If I were the manager, I would be getting pretty pissed off with people constantly telling on other people instead of just doing their job. I assume your manager does know when you are taking a longer lunch? Maybe they could be a bit more firm with these ladies next time they tell on you and tell them to focus on their own work instead of on you.

It doesn't sound like you aren't abusing them or your workplace in any way, although they may see your tweaking your schedule as a privilege. As I am sure you know, some people love drama and the office setting is notorious for harboring people who feed on it. You won't be able to change others so maybe the change needs to be a inside job - affirm yourself for the good job you do and work on forgiveness and compassion toward your co-workers.

WELL SAID LULU! I think one of the things that hurts the most, is the inability to control what they say and do. This happens repeatedly and I am trying to analyze a pattern of some sorts to see if I play a role in these situations (but I think not).

I agree. They should not tolerate this behavior as it can wreck companies by creating turnover and sabotage careers.

Hi, I could not agree more. It stinks that you can't control what your mgr does as well. This stuff wrecks careers, causes turnover and can ruin companies.
