During a spree of overspending, I charged some amazon purchases to my employers card instead of my own. I had their card filed on my account because a) my employer had asked me to place online orders for them in order to take advantage of my amazon prime & b) amazon automatically saves any payment you use.
Once the mistake was realized, I had them take the funds from my paycheck & they've been reimbursed in full. They're currently debating whether or not to let me go. They don't consider me to be easily replaceable, but have valid concerns.
I had disclosed my condition w/ in the first week of starting there. They seem to have trouble understanding how someone could spend so much without realizing where it's coming from.
Thoughts? Support? Any possible recourse I may have if I am terminated?

Hi SassyFlipps. Welcome to Psych Central (PC). I am sorry you have suffered from overspending on company card. I would explain that the company should pay for Amazon prime on their own or have a separate account. The other thing you can do is delete the company card each time you place an order. Separate accounts for personal and company purchases is the industry standard.

You can also be an active member in other ways like supporting others in their questions, reading articles and posts http://forums.psychcentral.com that are applicable to your area of concern.

Please feel free to private message me or any of the Community Liaisons by left clicking on the name in blue to the left of their post) for questions or just to share.

I think any possible recourse would depend on state law. That's really too bad - I wish they had not asked you to buy things for them from your personal account.

Agreed. Not a professional move by the company. Seems that Sassy handled her error in the best way she could afterwards. Removing the company card from the account is a no brained. Sassy, I wish you well and hope you can keep your job. Any updates?
