I have problems connecting with people so when I do it really hurts when they leave I am an older woman and he is in his 20s and married all my coworkers are like him. There won't be the daily talks and interactions anymore. Sad face. My other coworkers don't try to connect. They don't want to we have already tried. Sad face sad face

I'm sorry to hear that, i am not the best in this situation, however I'm sure someone will come around with supportive advice.

Lying monsters are a real nuisance: They are much more cunning than others. They pose as humans even though they have no understanding of the human heart; they eat even though they've never experienced hunger; they study even though they have no interest in academics; they seek friendship even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such monsters, I would likely be eaten by them... because in truth, I am that monster.

I just went through the same thing! It took me a minute, but I have found another person to laugh with a little. It's definitely not the same, but it's better than nothing. Even the residents say"it must be hard without your sidekick", I think most people enjoyed our shenanigans. To try and help I concentrate on how much I need my job! Good luck, I hope you find someone else you click with.

You sound a lot like me. I have lots of "friends" but nobody I'm really close to. About a year ago a really close coworker of mine moved and I was devastated. So much so that it almost cost me my marriage (coworker is female and I'm a male, and she is technically young enough to be my daughter). I still struggle a lot of days, but its getting better.

A coworker that I really like is also moving away in a couple months, so I struggle with that realization as well. I don't know who else I can connect with either. The other employees are nice, but I don't feel like I can really be open with them.
Thanks for this!
