Today, I was supposed to rollout a software change to one of our systems at work. I've been worrying about all of the things that might go wrong even though I tried to play out every eventuality in my head. We had another issue at work that forced me to cancel the software update.

I felt relieve that I had to cancel. My anxiety causes me to worry about the bazillion things that might go wrong. How can I force myself to learn to work through issues that can come up/

It sounds like you are already doing this, not without anxiety, but you are working---and it is OK to feel relief --- enjoy it while it lasts. ((((((hug))))))

Maybe you need better test data? Its really not enough to run things thru in your head.

You're not going to catch everything all the time. Do the best you can but worry is going to drive you around the bend.

I can totally relate what you are going through and your relief at not having to do something that you were dreading. I feel like I have some 'avoidance' issues and am avoiding doing things at work that I don't enjoy or dread. Then I feel guilty and inadequate afterwards.
