So the other day, I get a group text to vote for a not-for-profit to win some award. I have been pretty depressed and anxious of late. The text did not say who it was from or what the entity was about. I hate being a part of group texts because they go on forever with everyone replying. So, I made a snarky comment in a group reply.

Come to find out, it was a client of mine that sent the text. He said I was rude and what I did was unnecessary and that he would be taking his business elsewhere. I did apologize and explained that I get these group text vote things all the time and they are frustrating and that there was no indication of who it was from or what the entity was about.

I have since voted a few times (it is one of those where you can vote as often as you want).

Really sucks when my issues get in the way of my work.

You are human, forgive yourself. Don't dwell on it, you can't please everyone. You apologized.
