So the other day, I get a group text to vote for a not-for-profit to win some award. I have been pretty depressed and anxious of late. The text did not say who it was from or what the entity was about. I hate being a part of group texts because they go on forever with everyone replying. So, I made a snarky comment in a group reply.
Come to find out, it was a client of mine that sent the text. He said I was rude and what I did was unnecessary and that he would be taking his business elsewhere. I did apologize and explained that I get these group text vote things all the time and they are frustrating and that there was no indication of who it was from or what the entity was about. I have since voted a few times (it is one of those where you can vote as often as you want). Really sucks when my issues get in the way of my work. |

You are human, forgive yourself. Don't dwell on it, you can't please everyone. You apologized.
