If you are being bullied, I suggest you talk to the Manager. Can you tell us what exactly is going on?

Oh geez. I wish I had advice about backstabbers at work, but they just pulled one over on me. I guess the best way is to document everything. Keep really good records of everything going on.

Going to HR or your manager is tricky. They are going to want to protect the status quo and the company. If you have a specific situation that you can point to, you might have grounds to go to your manager, but if you don't have specifics, I wouldn't go to them just yet. Start documenting then take a specific situation of something they did to your manager.

Good luck and I'm sorry you're going through this.

There are a few things I've done in the past. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.
  1. Don't let them know that it bothers you. If they can't get to you, eventually, many of them will stop.
  2. Kill them with kindness. Guilt trip them. If they are truly rotten people (which is totally possible) it won't phase them, but those with even just a bit of common decency and empathy will feel guilty and might eventually stop.
  3. Confront them indirectly or directly. Last ditch effort unless you can pull it off while keeping your cool (I'm not very good at this one)
Finally, document, document, document and if necessary go to a manager. I had one situation where I went through all of the above. I finally got results when I told my supervisor that if it didn't stop I was going to look for other work. She didn't want me to leave so she said she'd handle it. It did stop finally. I still work with one of them and don't trust her at all, never will.

(((Hugs)))) I totally agree with Reb569's suggestions. And document, then go to to your manager or HR if necessary, especially if what they are saying is effecting your reputation at work.

Good for you. But also document from now on just in case you do need to go to HR or management in the future if they really try to scapegoat you.
