I basically started applying for anything I thought I could do, and now I got an interview set up tomorrow. But there are jobs I applied to I would rather have than this one. My background is with environmental/bird related things but this position involves teaching budgeting classes to disadvantaged people... Ehhh? It's more of a class I need than I class I should be teaching lol.

Last December I got three job offers in one day. I accepted the first one I got without realizing that two more would follow. Trying to be "ethical," I honored the first one, even though I overall had a bad feeling about it, and told the other two that I had already committed to another employer.

Oh MY. What a mistake. I'm so very sorry I didn't listen to my instincts.

So my advice would be to go to and enjoy the interview. It's great practice. I actually enjoy interviewing, so I would look forward to it.

The job I really want took the ad off it's website so I don't know if it means they hired someone already or if it means they gathered enough applications and will start going over them soon.

If you need a job, go to the interview. You can do the job if you get it until something better comes along. It's very common that people apply to more than one job at a time.

Ehh, took my resume, talked to me two minutes then told me they will call back if interested... Not much of an interview!

Got another interview August 7th, for a position that fits my background better... 11 month position running after school programs in the sciences/math/arts and my background includes environmental education and I'm good at those areas.

Yeah, I thought the name was fitting... Anyway a wrench got thrown in a bit... We got an informal eviction notice not long ago to leave this trailer (we currently live with an uncle) but it was going to be hard to move, but we got an offer to slowly buy a place off a distant relative. The interview I already have, this house is only a 20 minute commute from there so wouldn't be bad, but kinda far from the job I really wanted (but I haven't heard a word from this job). Since we need to move anyway, if I find a job then maybe it would have to be close to where we move. But with my SSI just renewed because basically I keep ending up in the psych ward and my husband's hearing coming up next month maybe I really don't need to work. My husband has even more wrong than me, he's got depression and anxiety, blind in one eye, severe diabetes, only one kidney left working, a missing finger and because of hand surgeries he has ltrouble holding on to objects, artificial knee, and now a circulation problem in leg that has to be fixed with a surgery soon. People in the social security office were wondering why he was initially denied...

And I just got through with a couple interviews, one was an in-person local position that I'm a semi-good fit for, and the second was a phone interview with a position that I didn't understand completely and after it was explained to me during the interview I wasn't sure anymore I really wanted it.

Tomorrow I have an interview for a position where they saw my profile on a website and reached out to me. Problem is it's across the country and starts next month so I don't know how I would pull it off with a disabled husband I would have to bring with me... But they are insisting on interviewing me. I just don't know

OMG I cancelled the above interview and today they email me requesting a reschedule... Okay I'll give it a chance but if I took this position the sudden relocation across the country, yikes! But we are so financially hurting right now the income might be worth it...
