My employer's HR department recently sent out an email saying they're going to be celebrating disability awereness month by sending out info regarding disablities (including mental health) to garner understanding of what people go through. They never did. I feel strongly that breaking of this promise is quite disrespectful. I want to say something but I'm not sure how or to whom. Could someone advise? Am I just being silly?

Well how well do you get along with whoever made this decision to have a day like this? Is it worth speaking up in the sense that, would people be open to hearing that or take it as you being a troublemaker?

I think it's important to say something if it's important to you. It would probably be best to approach it calmly and respectfully. It's possible the person had a lot on their plate and they forgot or maybe they had another reason but either way I think it may be helpful to approach them conversationally. I'd probably start the conversation by explaining how happy I was to hear the employer was celebrating this awareness and if it's still going to happen and if not why. I'd also explain why I think it's important that it does happen.
