I'm debating about working full time. So I can save for retirement. I'm 47 15 to 20 years left of work. My ticket to work has already been used by working part time. I've done it before and cracked from the financial stress. But wasn't taking meds or under care of any kind.

Everyone says don't do it. I want a better life not status quo. With inflation it's harder to do things and be on such limited income. If I get off disability I doubt I'll get back on it if something does go wrong.

Working part time I'm constantly worried about going over the allotted amount. Especially in 3 paycheck months. I hate limitations.

Ideally most people prefer to get off disability and enter work force full time. Realistically it’s too hard for some people to maintain full time employment. I always admire you for working regardless how many hours. Could you speak to your psychiatrist and see what they think about going off disability. Is it the best option or not

That's a good idea, I've mentioned it in the past. He said if I have trouble getting meds he'll help me with samples. I feel so clear headed. More days than not. I did have a stint with depression a few weeks back. That was money related. I pretty much feel good and feel like I could do more to better my future. But I kind of have it made working part time and getting disability.

I've sort of given up on fame. I'm just not as good as I thought and actually that's a stress reliever. I can quit trying. Some dreams are just dreams. And maybe I've grown up. I'm doing pretty well for all I've been through. I need to appreciate my accomplishments.

Dreaming is good. Being realistic is also a good thing. Some dreams could materialize into wonderful hobbies or side jobs, and it’s ok. It could be very enjoyable and is sure less stressful than relying on it for income!
