Hi,

I went through a trauma, had to leave school, and tried to go back...in the mean time developed agoraphobia (mild)...

Was given xanax, started taking it and felt VERY sick, doctor said it wasn't the drug.

I have never abused anything...

I was feeling nuts all summer - I started the xanax in May when I had to go back to class...got out of control with how much I was taking, checked into the hospital to get off of it and all they did was switch me to klonopin...

Then they put me on ambien.

I have taken ambien about 50% of the time for the past 2 mo.

Last night I didn't take the usual dose and I woke up having a panic attack.

I feel sick constantly, vomiting, was throughout the summer, doctor says it is just "nerves", I am so scared I don't know what to do.

I am also on medication for a parasite but I feel totally out of it.

HELP.

The psychiatrist is not helping. Trying to add more drugs.

Kinda hard to tell if you are addicted because you haven't given us more detail on the drug and how it effects you and how you feel on and off of it. Sure, part of addiction to most drugs is physical side effects while not using it, but as your doctor said, it could also really just be your nerves.

When you go without your medication, do you crave it? Do you think about it constantly and look forward to the next use? Ask yourself questions such as those and that might give you some answers. If you feel you're addicted, then it may be best to discontinue using it. Talk to your doctor.
